This past weekend was a lot of fun, especially since we had no where to go and no where to be! On Saturday we mainly just hung out at home. Then, on Sunday we went to church and that was about it!

Today, my uncle and aunt from Indiana are coming down and staying until Labor Day, which means they are going to come to the Lake House with us, which will be a blast! So I figure after my husband gets off work we will head to my mom's house so we can visit with them for a little bit.

Work is going good so far...hopefully it will stay that way!

Thursday, my step-dad has a softball game and the whole family is going, which will be a lot of fun!

Also...I am so excited for this upcoming weekend! This weekend is the weekend where we all get to go to the Lake House and jet ski and hang out with family all weekend long! 

Well I think I should get back to work!

I can honestly say that this week has been a good one and I am excited that it is the weekend, but I am not overly looking forward to it like I usually am!

Yesterday, work went well and went by quite fast actually. Then after work, my husband and I went to RadioShack to get a few little things and then we went to GameStop and bought a new game, then we went to wal-mart and got more otter pops - we were almost out...and I am not sure what either one of us would do if we ran out ! By the time we got home, we were too tired to play the new game so we just went to bed.

Tonight we have absolutely nothing planned...so I am sure we will get to play the new game! We got Call of Duty: World at War...in case you were wondering!

This weekend we really have nothing planned either except for the usual go to my mom's sometime on Saturday and do the laundry, which there isn't that much this time...maybe only one load...which isn't that bad for just two people in one week. Then on Sunday we have church and I am not sure if we will get to see my step-dad play softball again this Sunday or not. It was a lot of fun watching him last week, so I hope we get to!

Well that is about all...I will update on Monday and let you know how to weekend went!

Yesterday felt like Monday...and I cannot believe it is Wednesday already! To me it feels like Tuesday!...I guess it is a good thing though!

Last night I worked over a little bit and then when I got home I made dinner for my husband and it was done pretty much the minute he walked in the door....good timing I would say !!! Then after that I called my nephew and talked to him, his mom, and my brother for a total of about 2 hours! It was good to catch up with them again. My nephew was telling me about his football team and how he really wants me to come up and watch a game this season. So I think that I will go up one weekend and watch him play, since his games are all on Saturdays it works out perfect!

This upcoming weekend, my husband and I were supposed to go visit my dad and go boating with him, but it turns out that they are going to some cancer camp this weekend....so I will stay here and hang out. But...next weekend is Labor Day weekend and we have that fun family vacation planned on a lake near by.

Work has calmed down a lot today (thank goodness), but I still have a lot to do, but not much is catch up anymore....which always causes me lots of stress when I feel like I am behind.

Tonight we have church and then after church we have to stop by Radio Shack cus my husband needs something...haha

Speaking of church, in a couple weeks from today AWANA starts back up at my church and I am excited becasue I get to help out with the Sparks! I think it is going to be a lot of fun!

Since I am slightly ahead at work, I would like to keep it that way so I better get back to it!

Well today has been pretty busy at work just like yesterday. I am still sort of playing catch up from the weekend.....which was a busy one!

For lunch I am meeting my husband at Sonic instead of home like normal. I am starving right now...but luckily we are meeting in only 30 minutes!

Tonight after work, since I didn't get to it yesterday, I am going to finish putting the laundry away. I also need to call my nephew since it is his 11th birthday! Makes me feel old...haha...even though I know I am not!

Well work is getting crazy again and I am trying to finish something up before lunch....

On Friday my husband and I went to the store and got a few things that were needed, then came home and made breakfast food for dinner (which is my favorite!).

Saturday, we took all of my laundry to my mom's house and got it all caught (well not put away, but that is what I am doing as soon as I get home). Then we just hung out.

Sunday was a lot of fun....first we went to church then went home and then back to church. After evening service we went and watched my step-dad play softball and it was a lot of fun...I still wish that I was playing!

Well work is crazy busy - notice the late post - so I better get back to it....

I am so glad that it is Friday, but it seems like this past week has flown by!

This weekend we need to get all caught up on the laundry as well as cleaning the house.

Next weekend I think my husband and I are going to go to my dad's to go out on his new boat and just hang out! I think it will be a lot of fun!

The following weekend is our trip that I already told you about to the Lake House! I am way excited for that! Plus it will be awesome to have a long weekend!

Work is kind of busy for me today, so I better get back to it and make sure I get everything done in time for the weekend!

Today is Thursday (which is usually a really good day at work!), which means that Friday is the only thing that stands between me and the weekend!

Yesterday work went well, and then after work we went to church (which was a great lesson - it was on temptations). At church grandma invited us over for dinner tonight, so I am excited about that!

At work I have to pay all the bills today, so that will take up some of the day, then we have our meeting, so really Thursdays are kind of a short day for me! All these new things that I am learning I bet I will get another raise soon...because that is the way my boss is!

After work my husband and I are going to my grandma's for dinner - which is always good since she is a fantastic cook! My grandma and my grandpa have some of their friends visiting that I have known all my life, so it is also going to fun to spend some time with them as well!

Update: Duke is doing lots better, which makes it extremely hard for my mom to keep him restricted, but I think he will be able to recover without surgery. Duke has been through a few surgeries in his life and one that didn't turn out so well.

Story of Duke:

Alright, it was August 2nd of 2007. which was a Wednedsay, my mom arrived home from work and realized that Duke was not in the pen with the other 2 dogs. She went out searching for him. Then when my sister and I got home, we all went out and looked for him (for hours!). Then we all took off that Thursday and searched for him ALL day (there were lots of tears shed that day!). Then my mom had to go back to work on Friday, so I took her to the ferry so I could use her car that day. She had to be on the 4:45am ferry, so as you can imagine it was pitch black outside. On my way home from the ferry, a little over a mile away from our house, Duke ran out in front of me. I slammed on the brakes, but since there was on coming traffic as well as a big ditch on the other side there was nothing I could do. I ended up hitting his hip area. When I came to a stop, I went down to make sure it was Duke (since it was pitch black, I honestly didn't know if it was a deer or not). When I found him he wasn't crying which was a good thing...so I tried to cox him to the car but he stood up and fell down, I was hysterical by this time. So I took my sweatshirt off and tied it around him and told him to stay there and I would be right back. I flew home and ran up to the door knocking as hard as I could and both my step-dad and sister met me at the door. It took me a few seconds to tell them what had happened since I was pretty much in shock at that time. Then we all went to go pick him up and it was all my step-dad could do to pick him up since he weighs about 120lbs. and at this time he was dead weight. So we brought him home and laid him on the floor on blankets and pillows and called the vet and my mom (remember this is like 5 in the morning). So we took him in for an emergency visit and my sister drove back down to the ferry to pick my mom up. We all met at the vet's office and by this time I was so sick to my stomach! So after all that we find out that there is no bleeding of any kind, so all he would need is some serious surgery to repair his fractured hind leg. So the first surgery we though went well, then he had to go for another...then his foot lost feeling and his leg wasn't healing like it should...so after taking care of him and babying him we decided to get another specialist to look at it...sure enough they found out that the first specialist that did the surgery to fix his leg left a sponge in there and where it was it pinched a nerve so that he lost feeling in his foot and that is why his leg wasn't healing. So the new specialist took the sponge out as well as the rod they put in there and it took Duke a long time but he has finally pretty much fully healed from that. So now, the leg that is hurting him is his GOOD leg...  And that is the story of my dog, Duke!

Well now I better get back to work!

Yay I am getting very excited about all of the upcoming events!

This weekend my aunt, uncle, cousin, and her baby are coming to visit for the weekend!

Next weekend my husband and I are going to my dad's to go out on his new boat and hang out for the weekend! Plus we will get to go to my old church which I miss very much!

Then the following weekend my mom rented a house on the lake for Labor Day weekend! The house is literally on the lake, so it has a dock where we can just keep out jet skis in the water at all times! I am really looking forward to that...especially since a lot of my family is going to be there!

Want to know something scary?!?!!? Well my mom emailed me last night because a neighbor had come over to their house to let them know that she had been robbed last night and to make sure that they all keep an eye out. Apparently, the cops brought over dogs and helicopters and came up empty. I guess around that area (which is kind of out in the country), there have been quite a few little things happen and some big ones...all in the past week or so. One guy even fought a robber and was shot and killed...what a scary world we live in! I would just ask that you pray for the safety of those people in that area as well as all over. Especially our troops!

Well on a happier note, work is going good so far this morning, even though I have only been here about an hour...

I guess I should get back to work!

Well I am going to leave work a little early today since I have worked over quite a bit lately! I will leave about half an hour early, which means that I have about 20 mintues left until I am out of here!

Tonight I do not plan on doing too much...maybe going to the craft store and getting more wax to make more candles - since my husband burns them like crazy! Also I need to pick up a few things at the store...so it will be a good time to make a quick run to the store!

Also...I will get home early enough to make Sloppy Joe's and Chili so I don't have to cook for another few days! - Which means we will need more hamburger meat after tonight anyways...I guess I better start making a list, otherwise I will get there and forget something (it is just bound to happen!!!)

Well I am going to finish up here and then head home...
