I know that it has been an extremely long time since I last wrote, but a lot of things have been going on since then.

Around the time of my last post, I started to get sick all day long so we thought it was the flu until it lasted a week. At that time, I decided to take a pregnancy test and sure enough my husband and I are now expecting our first child!! We are truly excited about it! I am not 100% sure of my due date, but will hopefully find out tomorrow at my first doctor's appointment. If I had to guess, I would say that I am about 4 1/2 months along, make me due sometime in December ! I am a little nervous about my first doctor's appointment, but excited to get it over with and to hear the heartbeat of our baby and possible find out my due date and even the gender of the baby!

Not only have I become pregnant since my last post, but my husband and I have also moved back to Washington (pretty much our home as we both grew up here). My mom was sad to see me o, especially since I am pregnant. I have to say, I was really sad to leave my mom and it has been hard for me to adjust to leaving without her nearby.

Well I guess I better go, since my hubby just got back from a late night grocery store run (I was craving those pizza bagel bites )

I will update sometime soon letting you all know how the doctor's appointment went as well as if we were able to find anything out (as far as the gender or due date of the baby). Later!

Some of the ladies from my church (including my mom and grandma), went to a few different flea markets and really had a good time together. First thing we did was eat at Cracker Barrel from breakfast and then went to a flea market about an hour south, then we headed towards home and saw another HUGE flea market that we all liked a LOT more than the one that we drove an hour to get to and this one is only about thirty minutes from the house. Like I said, it was lots of fun and I hope that we get to do that again sometime soon!

This week is when our church is having our revival and I am enjoying it SO much. It started on Sunday morning, then was on Sunday evening, and Monday evening, and will be again tonight and tomorrow evening. The pastor that we have preaching during the revival is doing an awesome job and I am looking forward to hearing him speak again tonight.

Next Friday, as I have mentioned before, I am meeting my dad up in Illinois at the Six Flags. I just know that it is going to be a blast! I enjoy spending time with my dad, plus my husband is going too, so that makes it even better! Looking at the weather, it looks like it is going to a little bit cooler than here, but still close to, if not, in the 70s. I am hoping for it to actually be a little bit warmer than that, but no matter what, it will be lots of fun! The park is opening this weekend and we will be there next weekend, so I am hoping that it wont be too crowded.

Well, I have a lot of things going on at work today, so I better get back to it.

So, as I have already said, some of the ladies from my church are going to this huge flea market this Saturday and I think it is going to be a lot of fun. The flea market is less than an hour away, so not too bad of a drive! I get really bad car sick, so I hate being in a car very long...so I am very thankful that it is pretty close by (luckily I don't get sick if I drive, so I will most likely drive).

I am getting really excited about going to Six Flags at the very end of this month with my dad and his family. Hopefully it will be nice and warm weather...like it is outside right now (80s). When it gets a little closer to time I will check and see what the weather is supposed to be like the weekend that we are going to be there. All of this reminds me that I need to call my dad to see what the plans are as far as hotel room, location, etc... since I have no clue what the actual plans are besides meeting near Six Flags in Illinois.

I have an important announcement to make. If you have been following this blog, you know that my step-sister passed away last October due to a very rare and fast cancer. She was a sweet and very strong willed girl who NEVER complained about anything. She changed a lot of people just by telling her story, and even though she is not with us on earth anymore, she is still changing lives today. My step-mom and dad have started a non-profit organization in her memory that will take care of families as well as the children with cancer. This organization will help fund events for children with cancer, so they can enjoy life to the fullest as well as help out their families with bills, as we all know how expensive medical bills are! Having said all of that, my dad has built some nice bird houses that are being given away for a donation and as soon as I get some pictures I will post them as well as more information regarding how to get one. Hopefully I will be able to post the pictures and more information.

I know it has been awhile since I have last updated my blog, but I have been busy with all kinds of fun and exciting things.

This past weekend we went to a place called Sand Rocks here in Alabama and went rock climbing, hiking, and got to play with one of my dogs a lot. It was a lot of fun, and extremely warm and sunny, which was nice. I think the high last Saturday was 75 degrees and then Sunday was low 80s. This week is not supposed to be low 70s or higher. I just love the warm weather!

This coming weekend, there are a bunch of us ladies from my church going to a HUGE flea market a little less than an hour away. I think it will be a lot of fun, especially with the people that are going!

At the end of the month/beginning of May (April 30th/May 1st), my husband and I are meeting my dad and his family at Six Flags in Illinois. The drive for us and them is a little over six hours, which wont be too bad. We are going Friday afternoon and then meeting them at the hotel. We will spend all day Saturday at the theme park and then get up on Sunday and eat breakfast somewhere and head back home in time to be at work on Monday morning. It is going to be a ton of fun!

Well, work is pretty steady today, so I better get back to it.

Yesterday at work was an all around good day (not too many angry cusomters calling in wanting all their money returned to them), especially since it went by pretty quickly.

Last night when my husband got home, we went out to eat at Cheeburger Cheeburger (the best place in the world for a good ole cheeseburger) then we came home and just hung out like we typically do.

This morning was scary...I guess I forgot to set my alarm last night (which I usually set for 6:20AM)...guess what time I woke up?!?!?! Get this..I woke up and looked at the clock (in panic, since I had just realized that I had forgot to set my alarm the night before) and it was exactly 6:20AM...it was weird, but I was glad that my body was on that timer, otherwise I might have been late for work.

Tonight I get to teach the Sparks in Awana and I look forward to that every week.

Last night 16 & Pregnant was on. It was this young girl named Samantha who had a little girl that they named Jordynn. She is really turning out to be quite the mom and I hope that her and her boyfriend can work things out and stay together for the baby's sake. It just goes to show that adding a baby to the mix can cause a lot of stress, even if you were competely stable before.

Sorry that it has been a little while, but I have been super busy! I got a promotion at work, so I have been learning my new job and have been working over and lots of fun stuff like that. I love my new job ( I am now the head of the internal and external billing), and it definitely has its exciting moments. I stay extremely busy with this new job, which is a one of the reasons I like it so much. I mean I get here a little before eight and take care of all the things from the evening (or the weekend) and by the time I get a chance to look at the clock it is lunchtime, and then when I get back from lunch I take care of a few more things and before I know it, it is time to go home!

Besides me getting promoted at work, nothing else is new in my life.

Last nights shows...

Secret Life of the American Teenager - Ricky is still missing, but at least the viewers know where he is and that he is safe. Also, it really hits Amy hard that Ben and Adrian slept together. Adrian really doesn't care that she hurt Ricky really badly, but Ben really cares about Amy still. I still hope that Amy and Ricky end up together, but I will just have to wait and see about that! I saw previews of next weeks episode and it looks like Ricky tells Adrian that they are DONE - so now he can get with Amy...right? It is going to seem like forever until next Monday because I am so excited about it!

Make it or Break it - The gymnist that got hurt is back and she finally worked up the courage to begin training again. Also, they have invited China (the Olympic winners) to compete against them (the girls that are on the show that didn't go to the Olypics for one reason or another - all of the reasons being unfair) in their own gym. I think next week's episode might be the last one, so it will show the competition as well as how the main girl is doing as far as recovery.

I got a promotion at work, so I have been EXTREMELY busy today and probably will be for the next week or so learning new tasks as well as keeping my old ones. I am excited about the promotion, but it is a little overwhelming right now...but I know it will all be worth it! Being the first of the month doesn't help the busy part at all!

Well I better get back to work, but I will definitely post more either tonight when my shows are over, or tomorrow.

The other day I was talking to my dad and it sounds like he is showing signs of internal bleeding...Let me tell you the whole story...

About 9-10 months ago, my dad went in for a triple bypass and of course they do massive amounts of testing when you are there. So they found some nodules on his lungs and told him to come back in 3-6 months to see if they have grown or shrank. If they have grown, they were going to take samples to test for cancer.

My dad, being the stubborn man he is, hasn't gone in to check and see if they have grown or shrank and now he is showing signs of internal bleeding (very common in people with cancer). I have tried talking to him, but he is way too stubborn. I am just lucky that he went in for the "emergency" heart surgery. He told me when they found that most of his arteries were fully clogged he would NOT go under the knife...and with a LOT of persuading, he finally did it. I think he feels quite a bit better, but is starting to get bad again (I think it is due to the nodules that he has on his lungs).

So, now my job is to try and persuade him to go into the doctor, just to see what they look like and nothing more! I know for a fact he will NEVER do Chemo/Radiation, because he had to watch my step-sister do it for almost 5 years and lose the battle. He saw all the pain she was in, all the sickness she had, and he doesn't want to go through it. I don't really blame him, but he doesn't realize that he has a lot of people that care about him.

It has been almost 4 months since my step-sister past away, and I think a lot of his "pain/illness" may have to do with the emotional pain he is feeling after losing her. Eventhough he wasn't her father, he was the only dad she ever knew, so they had a pretty close bond, just like me and my dad used to.

That isn't really the way I wanted to start out the day, but I know that everything is in God's hands and HE is in complete control over this and every other situation.

For instance, my step-sister's family keep asking "Why God, Why?". I can honestly say that NO ONE knows why a little girl was taken from us except God. When we get to Heaven we will know exactly why that happened to her...plus I am jealous of her...she is in Heaven as we speak(that is such a comforting thought)!

Alright, well I have some work to get done so I better get to it. I will keep you posted on my dad.

Recap of the shows...

So on Monday was The Secret Life of the American Teenager, and boy was it interesting. Adrian thought that Ricky did more with Amy than just kiss her, so to get back at the both of them she slept with Ben (which was Ricky's friend and Amy's "true" love). So Ricky runs off (show ended with no sign of Ricky) and Amy is obviously very upset. Adrian feels awful and pretty much cries the whole time, but she got what she deserved! Anyways...I can't wait til next week!

On Make it or Break it, the main character has a the surgery to allow her to do gymnastics again..but she keeps telling her friends and family that she hasn't gotten the okay to start training again when really she has, she is just too scared. All of the bad things play in her mind when she steps up to the bar...so she always backs away. Well, finally at the end, her mom has a voicemail from the physical therapist asking how she has been doing since he has given her the go ahead.... I just really hopes she gets back on the bar and continues her dream.

Yesterday night 16 & Pregnant was on. This time it covered a girl named Nikkole. Her boyfriend, or should I say Ex is horrible, he cheats on her, talks to her mom like crap, but yet she still loves him...after all they do have a baby together. I just hope that he matures (ALOT) throughout the show and steps up and takes responsibility and starts treating Nikkole and her mom better! Next Tuesday they will show another girl...so that will be girl number 3 out of 10! Once they introduce them all, then it will go from 16 & Pregnant to Teen Mom (which is way better!).

Yesterday after work I went and got my hair and nails done for a change...I really like my hair. All I got done was highlights but more of a caramel color.

Tonight we have church and then we will probably need to go to the grocery store on the way home...as we are running low on a lot of stuff.

Work has been going well and I should probably get back to it before I go grab something for lunch.
