This past weekend was full of excitement. Even though the drive is about 7.5 hours, it was worth it. We made it to my brother's house at 2:30am (their time)...and then turned around and had to be at the ball field at 8:20 their time to watch my youngest nephew play flag football.
My youngest nephew did a good job and was very excited when his team won!
Then, at noon, my other brother's son played tackle football and he did a great job even though they lost. He is the smallest kid playing tackle football and he took down quite a few of the big guys!
My oldest nephew played at 1:30 and he is one of the best out there by far! The game went into overtime and they ended up winning, but boy was it exciting. In tackle football, if the game gets tied, then each team gets a chance to score from the 20 yard line. Then after they score a touch down, they can run it in for one extra point, or throw for two. Well the other team got to go first and they scored the touch down and then threw for the two extra points. So now it was my nephew's teams turn. My nephew being the quarterback was put under a lot of pressure to pass the ball in for the two extra points. So his team scored the touch down, then he went to pass, was about sacked, then got away from the guy and threw for two extra points. Now, the game is all tied up again. They give you two chances per team to get in from the 20 yard line and if it is tied after that, then it ends with a tie. Well the other team was up for their second chance and they scored a touch down, but no extra point, then my nephew's team got up there, scored the touch down and the extra point and won the game. It was exciting!
