I am so ready for a mini-vacation this weekend. Tonight after work we are heading to the Lake for the ENTIRE long weekend! Before we though that just a few of us were going, but now there are going to be more than we have room for...hehe...but we will make it all work! I am so excited to be surrounded by my family! They are such a blast!
Today at work will probably go by really slow since I am looking forward to something fun! Plus right now there is not a lot to do, so that makes it go by slower as well!
Continue to remember my step-sister in your prayers as she chose option #1, which was to pull the tube and not do the chemo. She has been through SEVERAL rounds of hard chemo and almost died 3 times during the chemo treatment, so she knows how it is and doesn't want to go through with it. I honestly can't blame her...she is a very strong girl and she is going to a wonderful place where there is no more pain, she will have 2 legs again and run around like a child should...It is hard to think about the good in this situation, but if you can, it is awesome! God is awesome and what he has saved for us up there is going to be more beautiful than you can EVER imagine!
Unfortunately, we do not know why this is happening to an innocent little girl, but I can tell you that it is for a reason. For a good reason that is. We will find out when we get there, but now we cannot understand why a lot of things happen.
I will keep you updated on her condition as I am not sure when exactly the doctors are going to take out the chest tube. Once the chest tube is removed, then she will have 24-48 hours to live. Just continue to pray not only for her to have more strength than she already does, but also for her loved ones and the ones that love her as they go through this difficult time.
